What is Mystery Shopping?

The main reason a Franchise works is because each store does things EXACTLY the same way. When you walk into a Walmart you know where to go to find something because the stores are all the same. This develops Customer Confidence and increases sales. To make sure that each store is doing things the same way the Corporate Office contacts a Scheduler who posts jobs for Mystery Shoppers. Once you are registered with these companies you will be contacted when there are shops in your area. You then go to the website they tell you to and select the jobs you want to do. Usually jobs that are already spoken for are either not shown or are not clickable. Jobs are usually first come first served so checking often and early is suggested.

Once you are accepted for a Mystery Shop you then read the instructions to find out what they want to know, when they want the shop done, and where the store is located. YOU MUST FOLLOW THEIR INSTUCTIONS or you won't get paid. They are usually quite clear but if you have questions all you have to do is contact the Scheduler for help. You are told exactly what to buy, where to buy it, when to do the shop, and how to time the whole visit. You are to report exactly what happens with NO exaggerations, suggestions, or opinions.  You are also never to reveal that you are a Mystery Shopper as people will change the way they do things if they know there is a Mystery Shopper in the store. This might sound complicated but it really isn't. Once you actually do your first Shop you will find it is very easy to do.

After you have done the shop you login to their website and answer the questions that is in their form. I recommend you print out the questionaire so you have a hard copy to go over before the shop to make sure you know what questions you need answers for.  Once you have done that you sit back and wait for them to pay you. Then you go check other sites to see if there are jobs posted there that you might like to do. 

You are not restricted to only doing Mystery Shopping or even working in your area. Our Members also have access to the lists of Companies who need Merchandisers. This usually involves restocking of Displays, setting up new Displays, giving away Free Samples or similar activities. This can pay quite well but involves more physical activities usually.

Another way of earning that extra paycheck next month is to do Demos. When a company has a new Product to introduce to the public they hire people to set up in stores and give samples away. Most of these jobs pay $10 per hour and you are usually inside nice and warm. It is a fun way to earn money.

The other way of making that extra Payheck every month is to do online Surveys. These will either pay you in cash or will pay you in points that you redeem for merchandise and/or cash. Doing Surveys is perfect for those people who either can't get out of the house or who don't want to get out because of weather, kids, etc. You are the one to decide when you want to do surveys. Once you are registered with these Companies they usually send out email to notify you there is another survey available for you to do.

You could fill up your car for free(Shxxx), have a free lunch(McDxxxxxx), stay in a good hotel for free(PLxxx), have a free dinner(PLxxx), go to a free movie(Cinxxxx), and get paid......$116 US just for spending an hour online filling out forms. After filling out the shop I usually use some of the Free Desk Software to relax. I have done it myself many times. I used to plan my away trips when I had out-of-town business and would earn up to $400 plus FREE Food and Lodging while I did the business I had to go out of town for anyway.

You can learn how to do shops, post questions asking for help, talk about the desk software, complain about problems, offer suggestions to other shoppers and much more. Although I don't do merchandising I have checked out as many Merchandiser Companies as I could find. These Merchandising Companies always need people to restock their displays. You can actually set up a daily route if you want to get serious. If you are an outgoing person you might consider doing demos. Demo Companies are always looking for people to go to stores and demonstrate their products. 

The Online Survey Companies I have listed inside are the ones I personally do surveys for. I have made extra money doing these surveys on days when I don't feel like leaving the house so I just work at home. I made over $500 one month (5 weeks) doing surveys alone and you can too. It is nice having a home based business on those rainy days. These online surveys can be great for those work-at-home moms, people with handicaps, or as jobs for seniors.
